Attainable

When setting goals, you must ensure they are attainable and within your capabilities. This means considering your situation, including your fitness level, health concerns, availability, and motivation. You can set challenging and achievable goals by tailoring your expectations to your circumstances.

For example, if you are just starting a weight loss journey, a reasonable goal may be to lose 5 to 10 percent of your current weight. It’s essential to remember that healthy weight loss is typically 1 to 3 pounds per week (0.45 to 1.3 kg), but it’s also necessary to track your progress beyond just the number on the scale. Measuring your inches lost can also be a helpful way to track your progress, as sometimes you may lose inches before you see a significant change in your weight.

To help you stay on track with your goals, you can use various tools, such as a tracking app, to monitor your food intake and exercise habits. This can help you stay accountable and adjust your plan as needed. Additionally, seeking support from friends, family, or a professional coach can help you achieve your goals.

Remember, setting attainable goals doesn’t mean you can’t challenge yourself. By setting realistic goals and tracking your progress, you can stay motivated and build confidence as you work toward achieving your long-term goals.
